Celebrate the Fourth of July in Colorado Springs With Fireworks, Music & More
Looking for the perfect way to celebrate Fourth of July in Colorado Springs? The area lights up on the 4th of July with patriotic events, live music, and fireworks displays visible from all across the region. You can honor the red, white, and blue in countless ways, whether you’re heading to a local event or watching the fireworks from home.
Star-Spangled Symphony & Fourth of July Fireworks
The centerpiece of the celebration is the Star-Spangled Symphony & Fourth of July Fireworks, a beloved tradition pairing the Colorado Springs Philharmonic’s rousing performance of patriotic classics with a city-wide fireworks show. At 9:15 PM, tune in to Rocky Mountain PBS or local radio stations to enjoy the music in sync with the fireworks lighting up the skies above.

Fireworks Viewing Spots Across the City
With fireworks launching from multiple locations, you’ll have plenty of chances to catch the show. And here some of the best spots to watch — many near Challenger Homes communities. First, the Ford Amphitheater will host a public display from the west side of the amphitheater, behind the stage. (For the best sound and music experience, choose seats near the front. And don’t forget to buy tickets in advance!) Prefer to pair your fireworks with a little friendly competition? Head to the Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC match or the Rocky Mountain Vibes baseball game — both will feature fireworks immediately following the final whistle. However, you’ll need to purchase tickets to attend!
Members & Resort Guests Only:
Several private venues will also hold their own fireworks shows on July 4th. This includes Flying Horse Resort & Club, the Country Club of Colorado at Cheyenne Mountain Resort, and Garden of the Gods Resort and Club. Displays will be hosted at Patty Jewett Golf Course and Valley Hi Golf Course (closed to the public).
Note: All times and events are weather-dependent. Fireworks are scheduled to begin around 9:15 PM.
Want to Enjoy Fourth of July in Colorado Springs from Home?
For many Challenger homeowners, the best view is just outside their door. Find Ascent at Woodmen Heights, The Townes at Cumbre Vista, and Westcreek at Wolf Ranch near firework viewing areas. In other words, these residents may get a front-row seat to the show without leaving the neighborhood. Set up a lawn chair, fire up the grill, and enjoy the show from the comfort of home.
