More Than a Home: Amenities in Challenger Homes Communities

For 25 years, Challenger Homes has been building neighborhoods designed for living well. As we celebrate our 25th Anniversary, we’re looking beyond the foundations and floor plans to highlight something equally important: the amenities and outdoor recreation in Challenger Homes communities that make our Colorado Springs locations places people genuinely love to call home.

Whether you’re drawn to mountain views, close proximity to nature, convenient access to schools, or vibrant spaces to connect with neighbors, Challenger communities are thoughtfully crafted to support the way you want to live: today and for years to come.

Trails, Parks, and Open Space

Many of our neighborhoods offer direct access to nature, with trails, parks, and open spaces integrated right into the community. At Home Place Ranch in Monument, residents enjoy natural walking trails and sweeping, majestic views of the Front Range — perfect for peaceful evening walks or energizing weekend runs. Copper Chase at Sterling Ranch features built-in parks, playgrounds, and walkable green spaces that weave through the neighborhood, giving families (and dog owners!) plenty of room to roam. And at Westcreek at Wolf Ranch, there are more than seven miles of finished trails, nearly 400 acres of open space, and a 14-acre lake, all designed to bring the outdoors closer to home.

Rec Centers and Gathering Spaces

Some of our communities offer recreational amenities that make it easy to stay active and connect with neighbors. Home Place Ranch, located in the foothills of Monument, has a brand new amenity center for its residents that includes a fitness area, gathering spaces, and a deck with unbelievable mountain views. Falcon Meadows at Bent Grass includes indoor and outdoor pools, a full fitness and recreation center — even a BMX track. At Ascent at Woodmen Heights, residents have access to a pool, gym, basketball court, and a welcoming community room. Westcreek at Wolf Ranch also includes a private rec center, complete with a clubhouse, pool, and splash park that’s perfect for sunny days and family-friendly events.

Proximity to Top-Ranked Schools

We understand how important schools are when choosing a home, which is why so many Challenger communities are located near some of Colorado Springs’ best. Copper Chase at Sterling Ranch and The Townes at Cumbre Vista fall within Academy School District 20, one of the most respected in the state. Home Place Ranch is part of Lewis-Palmer School District 38, another highly regarded district known for its academic excellence. Bradley Heights, conveniently located near Fort Carson, is served by District 3 — Colorado’s most diverse school district. Whether you’re raising a family or planning to start one soon, access to strong schools is always a smart choice.
