The Colorado Springs Switchbacks will be playing against Real Monarchs SLC on July 4th for a special game ending in fireworks. In fact, this will be the largest fireworks display in southern Colorado! Gates open at 4 p.m. at Weidner Field.

2. Watch fireworks from your front porch

Good news! “Symphony on Your Porch” is returning for 2021. Fireworks will be shot off from the following locations on July 4. However, there will be no public access—simply enjoy the show from your own front porch!

  • The Broadmoor
  • Cherokee Ridge Golf Course
  • The Club at Flying Horse
  • The Country Club of Colorado at Cheyenne Mountain Resort
  • Falcon Freedom Days at Meridian Ranch
  • Garden of the Gods Resort and Club
  • Patty Jewett Golf Course
  • Banning Lewis Ranch

In addition, several local radio stations will broadcast a patriotic concert during the fireworks shows. Hear the concert on Sunny 106.3, Y96.9, KCME 88.7 FM, 92.9 Peak FM, and AM 740 KVOR.

 

3. Festival on the Fourth at Palmer Lake

This year, Palmer Lake is hosting a free Fourth of July festival! There will be fireworks (pending there is no fire ban), two beer gardens, twelve local bands, food trucks, and up to 50 local vendors. In addition, there will be inflatable bouncy castles, a Hole-in-One Disc golf contest, and more games, fun, and entertainment for everyone.

4. Old-fashioned Fourth of July in Woodland Park

Experience an old-fashioned Fourth of July just 30 minutes northwest of Colorado Springs in Woodland Park. This event features kid activities, a food court, live music and performers, artists, crafters, a beer garden, fire engine rides, the flag-raising while the Wind Symphony performs, and much more!
